Margot H Knight

Margot H. Knight was the initial director of the Washington Press Club Foundation's oral history project. She has designed and interviewed for a variety of oral history projects. Many of these, such as the Washington Women's Heritage Project and the Carol Ryrie Brink Oral History Project, have focused on the lives of women. She has also conducted and supervised interviews on the history of Whitman County, Stevens County, and Colville National Forest in the state of Washington.

As instructor and consultant in oral history, she has shared her skills with the Association for Diplomatic Studies, the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation, and participants in an Elderhostel course. She frequently presents papers at annual meetings of the Oral History Association and other organizations pertaining to arts and humanities.

At the time the WPCF interviews were conducted, she was assistant director of the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies.
