The members of the Board of Directors of the Washington Press Club Foundation are pleased to invite you and your interns to a networking event to help connect them with bureau chiefs, editors and reporters outside your newsroom.



“Campaigns 101 : Interning During a Election Year”, a panel discussion, specifically for interns, will be held from 4:30 to 5:30, with a reception to follow.



RSVP to wpcf@wpcf.org and include the names and emails of colleagues who will also attend. If your interns plan to attend the panel discussion please note that in the email. Beer and wine will be served, interns should be prepared to present an ID when arriving.

Washington Press Club Foundation partner interns are joined by interns from area Washington bureaus to network and listen to experienced journalists at the 2019 Intern Networking Luncheon.

Leading the panel discussion for over 110 interns and their supervisors were Shawna Thomas, Washington DC Bureau Chief for VICE News, Scott Detrow, NPR Political Correspondent, Daniella Diaz, CNN Producer, Ashley Parker, White House Reporter from the Washington Post, WPCF board members, along with area editors and bureau chiefs, were on hand with tips on navigating a career in journalism.
